Out of the severe damage caused by flooding, this project offers to create a new urban experience, by constructing a water canal in Tel Aviv-Jaffa. The site is a neglected area of the city, which has been identified for urban renewal. The canal and its banks support a diverse ecosystem, cool the urban heat island, purifies and fills up the coastal aquifer, and prevent flooding during winter. Correctly planned, a river running through an urban area is a social, environmental, and educational asset.
